Location: Glen Cairn Community Resource Centre, 244 Adelaide Street South

Event Details

The Good Food Box program supports individuals by increasing access to affordable, nutritious foods for people living on a fixed income. To reduce the stigma associated with accessing food programs and based on Good Food Principles, the Good Food Box program is universally available. Each month, participants make payment in advance for a Good Food Box that includes a variety of fruit, veggies, salad items, yogurt, and cheese that will be picked up later in the month.

Volunteers will help sort/prep the Good Food Boxes so that they can be distributed individuals and families in need of accessing healthy food & healthy food choices in our community.

Volunteers should be mindful that sorting takes place in the warehouse at Glen Cairn so it can get warm in there. Make sure to dress cool and bring water to drink.
