Jennifer Martino joined United Way in 2018 as a Community Impact Specialist. Jennifer has a strong background in community development, non-profit management, fundraising, research and evaluation. Prior to United Way, Jennifer worked with Indigenous education programs nationwide, supporting students and educators with the integration of technology and cultural content into classrooms. From 2010-2011, she proudly served as the Child and Youth Network Community Development Coordinator with the Ending Poverty Team. Jennifer has also supported community development initiatives in various Latin American countries, including as a Child Rights Support Officer for World Vision Canada.
Jennifer has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in International Development and a Master of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. In 2017, she earned the designation of Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, participating in community events and taking part in outdoor activities such as fishing and camping.
