A dedicated professional with a passion for service to the community, Roxanne Riddell has earned an excellent reputation throughout her career in the charitable and not-for-profit sector. Roxanne has extensive experience in both fundraising and community development, having served as a Development Officer and a Workplace Champion prior to assuming her current role as a Community Planning Specialist.
Roxanne is known for her support of volunteers, relationship-building, and professionalism; prior to joining the United Way team in 2013, she honed these skills while serving as a Senior Development Officer for the St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation, the Client Services Manager for the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation, Regional Director of Katimavik BC/Yukon, and as the Camping and Outdoor Centre Manager for the YMCA-YWCA of Vancouver Island and YMCA Western Ontario.
Roxanne’s professional experience are complemented by an Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation and Leisure Studies from Lakehead University, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia. Outside of work, Roxanne enjoys reading, exploring thrift shops, crafts, and spending time with her family.
