Major donors choose United Way to contribute to the social development of Elgin Middlesex and provide a safety net for vulnerable members of the population. Their enthusiasm and generosity are a great source of strength. Major Donors contribute to United Way Elgin Middlesex with personal donations of $5,000 or more.

“I’ve been a proud supporter of United Way for over 40 years. Over that time, I’ve worn many hats from running our workplace campaign to serving on the Campaign Cabinet and I’ve seen firsthand the vital role United Way plays in building a strong, caring community.
What’s always mattered most to me is knowing that my donation is truly making a difference. United Way ensures every dollar is used wisely, targeting the most urgent needs and creating meaningful impact.
When I retired and no longer had access to payroll deduction, I didn’t hesitate to switch to monthly giving. It just made sense for my own budgeting and for United Way’s ability to plan and respond year-round. (And yes, earning credit card points while supporting a cause I care about is a nice bonus!)

“One of the reasons I choose to support United Way is because of the organization’s remarkable ability to invest donor dollars wisely, transforming lives in ways that are both tangible and lasting. I’ve seen the results firsthand, particularly in the lives of children and youth.
For me, giving is deeply personal. It’s rooted in a lifelong passion for supporting children, especially adolescents whom I’ve had the privilege of teaching since 1971 and connecting with through a variety of leadership and administrative roles. Children are the embodiment of our hopes for the future.
