Community Services Recovery Fund Projects Announced

Community Services Recovery Fund

The Government of Canada has announced the projects that are being funded through the Community Services Recovery Fund, which is being administered by United Way Centraide Canada, the Canadian Red Cross, and Community Foundations of Canada.

The Community Services Recovery Fund is a $400 million investment from the Government of Canada to support charities and non-profits as they focus on how to adapt their organizations for pandemic recovery. Now more than ever, charities and non-profits are playing a key role in addressing persistent and complex social problems faced by all communities. The Community Services Recovery Fund responds to what charities and non-profits need right now and supports organizations as they adapt to the long-term impacts of the pandemic.

Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, Jenna Sudds, announced that nearly 5,500 projects are being funded under the Community Services Recovery Fund. United Way Centraides across Canada were instrumental in reviewing applications, alongside community foundations and the Canadian Red Cross. Our network of United Way Centraides disbursed $103M in funding to 1,681 organizations across Canada.
